LGM-30 Minuteman SERIES 1

Sale price$45.00

The Boeing LGM-30 is a USAF land-based intercontinental ballistic missile that represents one part of the United States nuclear triad. The LGM-30 was developed in the 1950s and at its peak, 1,000 missiles were deployed. As of 2017, the number deployed has been scaled back to 400 missiles. At nearly 60' long, the LGM-30 flies at Mach 23 and a flight ceiling of 700 mi enroute to its target.

Our LGM-30 tags have been cut from the aluminum shell of a Signal Data Converter Unit, CV-3269/G. This Boeing component was located in the Launch Equipment Room, which was located in the silo with the missile. This component was hard-wired to the missile prior to launch.

These tags are offered in 3 variants: Gold (exterior aluminum skin), Silver (interior aluminum structure), and Grey (painted front cover). The Gold and Silver aluminum tags have a printed design. The Grey tags (the thickest and most interesting) have been laser etched. Some Grey tags have portions of the data plate on them. These tags will be included with full sets.

This run is limited to 200 tags.
